Frequently asked Questions

what is the abbotsford tulip festival?

Lakeland Flowers invites the public to enjoy the vibrant tulips at the Abbotsford Tulip Festival. The tulip fields span 35 acres and showcases over 100 varieties of tulips, including double, fringed, and parrot varieties. Our legacy tulip is named after Peter Warmerdam, Lakeland’s first-generation farmer.

The festival is the beginning of a three-month flower offering that begins with tulips and lupins in April and May and ends with lavender on July 1st. Learn more about our flower offerings.

We offer free parking. The parking area is located near 3663 Marion Rd, as seen on Google Maps. Turn south onto Marion Rd from No. 4 Rd, then look for signs marking the entrance to the designated parking area.

are the fields mobility aid and wheelchair accessible?

We love for our guests with mobility aids and strollers to have the best experience. However, we recommend that our guests be able to comfortably walk 1 km without assistance to get the best experience.

Wheelchairs that are not suitable, for uneven ground, are not recommended. We do have some wheelchairs available and they are free to use but available on a first come, first serve basis.

Our field walkways are on grass or dirt, which can sometimes be uneven. We recommend that you visit us on a day when we’ve had a few days without rain. Please check our Field Report or socials for updates.
